Database and Application Systems Specialist Landmark College, the nation's premier institution of higher education for talented students with various learning differences is located in beautiful southern Vermont and within close proximity to southern New Hampshire and the major Massachusetts cities. Landmark College is seeking a proven professional to serve in the position of Database and Application Systems Specialist. The Database and Application Systems Specialist, reporting to the CTO / Director of ITS Services, is responsible for supporting the enterprise application systems utilized by the college and for servicing the community needs for information and system functionality. This includes business systems analysis and support, database administration, information analysis and reporting, customized programming, and vendor relationship management for product assessments, implementations, and problem resolution. This position, in conjunction with other IT colleagues, is accountable for the availability, reliability, and integrity of the enterprise information systems and data.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business systems analysis, application design and development, database administration, or related field. Minimum of 8 years of experience in database and application programming/analysis utilizing relational database technology. At least 5 years of experience in SQL Server database analysis and administration. MCTS certifications in SQL Server preferred. Solid understanding of Application and database architecture, .net application framework, IIS, web interfaces, and network systems. Experience with ETL processes and data migration tools. SSIS experience highly desirable. Experience with SSRS and other report writing tools. Experience with MS Access software and database structures. Experience implementing and supporting Higher Ed student information systems, preferably in Ellucian's PowerCampus and Self-Service systems. Experience with PowerFAIDs financial aid system, Nelnet Quikpay systems, Great Plain financial system and Raiser's Edge is highly desirable. Effective project mgt. skills. PMP certification preferred. Excellent debugging and problem solving skills. Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with staff and faculty at all levels of the organization is essential.
